Facilities get facelift ahead of ANOCA games

Work is in full swing at the Roche Caiman swimming pool to refurbish the toilets and changing rooms and give it a facelift, including a new coat of paint in time for the ANOCA Zone 7 Games.

The Games, between member countries of National Olympic Committees from the Zone 7 region is scheduled for May 6 through to the 11th, organised the Seychelles Olympics & Commonwealth Games Association (SOCGA).

NSC is supporting the ANOCA Zone 7 games by making available the different sports infrastructure needed. NSC CEO, Marc Arissol told the media today that despite having been informed quite late of the hosting of the games, the NSC is accommodating it and is doing all in its power to complete improvement works on some of its infrastructures ahead of the launching ceremony, even if this means a departure from its scheduled maintenance and renovation programme. He stressed on the fact that the NSC is not the organizer but it wants to see a successful game.

Additionally, new flooring is being installed at the National Gymnasium, again as part of renovation and improvement for the timely completion of work just days ahead of the start of the ANOCA Zone 7 Games.
