Located within the Roche Caiman Sports Complex on Mahé, Stad Linite is the national stadium of Seychelles and the largest sporting venue in the country. Officially inaugurated in 1993 in time for the 4th edition of the Indian Ocean Island Games, the stadium stands as a symbol of national unity and remains the primary arena for major sporting events and state ceremonies. With a seating capacity of approximately 10,000 spectators, it is prominently used for football and athletics, serving as the home ground for the Seychelles national football team and a host venue for international competitions.

The stadium features an artificial astroturf football pitch, an athletics track that meets international standards, and facilities to accommodate athletes, officials, and spectators. Over the years, Stad Linite has undergone upgrades to maintain its functionality, the latest ahead of the 2025 CJSOI Games, ensuring it continues to serve both local competitions and visiting teams from abroad. Beyond sports, Stad Linite holds cultural significance as a gathering point for national celebrations and public events, reinforcing its role not only as a sporting landmark but also as a public space.

The iconic stadium also doubles up as the headquarters of the National Sports Council (NSC). From here, the NSC oversees the administration and promotion of sports across Seychelles, coordinating development programmes, supporting athletes, and managing the country’s growing portfolio of sporting facilities.
