Seychelles wrapped up its medal campaign at the 13th CJSOI Games on Friday with eight more medals from athletics and handisports events — 1 silver and 7 bronze — bringing the curtain down on the nation’s final haul.
Handisports accounted for 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Liam Denis claimed silver in the 400m, while Emmanuella Joubert (400m), Sharif Brutus (shot put), and Joubert again in the shot put earned bronze.
In able-bodied athletics, Seychelles picked up 4 bronze medals. Leah Pool and Nathane Marie each grabbed bronze in the 400m, Said Ephrasie secured bronze in the long jump, and the girls’ 4x100m relay team added the final bronze of the competition.
The results capped off a competitive showing across multiple disciplines, with Seychelles securing medals in swimming, sailing, boxing, weightlifting, volleyball, handisports, athletics, badminton, judo, and girl’s football.
