The NSC’s Career Promotion Committee has kicked-off a campaign to encourage young minds to choose careers in sports whilst contemplating their future.
Aimed at aspiring the next group of sports administrators and managers nationally, the campaign is manifesting under the slogan – Choose a career in sports & live your best life.
It involves promotional events in schools and in the media, targeting mostly S3 level school students who are at this point in their student lives getting ready to choose a career to pursue.
It is hoped that by intervening at this point in students lives, they are fed crucial information to consider a good look at careers in sports, in choosing what to do, NSC chief Marc Arisol said.
A group of students from Anse Boileau Secondary were first to experience actions being undertaken in favour of the campaign on Wednesday, when the career promotion committee travelled to the western district for detailed talks.
More talks will be conducted in various schools on Mahe in the latter part of this week and next week, culminating into visits on Praslin and La Digue.
Besides the talks, promotional videos and other materials are on broadcast on national television as well as on the Titan Advertising platforms across town.
