The much anticipated Sports Awards will make its grand return onto the national stage next year.
Organisers of the event divulged the news on Wednesday, during the course of a first meeting involving members of the Organising Committee and that of the Selection Committee.
Hosted and chaired by the National Sport Council (NSC), the meeting discussed logistics and related details contingent to the implementation of the presentation ceremony and selection process.
The Sports Awards was last organised in February of 2020, recognising athletes for the year 2019.
Sailor Rodney Govinden and Swimmer Felicity Passon are the reigning Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year.
